GOOD QUESTIONS. HONEST ANSWERS.
Before your next chapter.
What TatHide can help you explore, and what needs an artist.
Will the new design really cover my old tattoo?+
An AI image cannot certify physical coverage. Old ink density, pigments, skin and healing all matter. Bring your original photo and your ideas to a specialist cover-up artist.
How much does a design cost?+
One credit creates one image. A design run creates 2 variants for 2 credits. A stencil draft costs 1 credit. Packs are $4.99 for 20 credits (once per account), $12.90 for 60, or $24.90 for 150. No subscription. Purchased credits do not expire.
Is there a free trial?+
Free trials are currently disabled. If enabled, eligible signed-in adults can receive one watermarked run per account, subject to a daily cap and identity checks. ChatGPT referrals are not eligible.
What does Coverage check actually show?+
It highlights dark pixels from the masked original photo over your new preview. Shadows, hair and lighting can also be highlighted. It is a visual reference, not a coverage score or a pigment simulation.
How much larger will the design be?+
The generator starts with a design extending about one-third beyond the old outline, with dense shading over old lines. This is a composition starting point, not a safe size formula. Your artist may suggest a much larger or darker piece.
Can I cover a name or initials?+
Yes. Choose the name-cover preset, brush over every letter and tell us what you would like instead. Dense flower centres, leaves or blackwork can be useful directions to discuss with your artist.
Is a stencil ready to tattoo?+
The stencil maker produces a pure black-on-white line-art draft for printing. Your artist must redraw, resize and approve it for the actual skin and body contours.
What if generation fails?+
Failed or safety-blocked runs automatically release all reserved credits. You can revisit completed designs in My designs for 7 days. Temporary processing files are deleted after the job with a one-hour expiry fallback; generated files expire after 7 days. Download paid designs promptly.
Which photos can I use?+
Use your own or an authorized adult photo, with the whole tattoo and surrounding skin in even light. Arms, legs and backs are fine; explicit nudity, minors and public figures are not allowed. JPG, PNG and WebP, 256–8000 pixels per side, up to 12 MB. Export HEIC to JPG first.
